This Venus Polyester Micro Tricot Microfibre Stretch Fabric is very stretchy with excellent recovery. Microfibres are often called the fibres of the century. No wonder – the fabric they produce drape beautifully, are lightweight, and feel so nice, almost cool against the skin.  We called this fabric Venus because it is so beautiful! Customers use this fabric for any type of lightweight top, panty, lingerie, camisole or bralette. This fabric is also perfect to cover foam cups. The fabric is available in 6 great, basic colours.

The White, Ivory, and Beige colours feature a smooth finish. The Pink, Red, and Black colours features a slight suede finish.

This fabric is very co-operative during the sewing process. Therefore, it is an ideal lightweight fabric to start with if you are unsure of handling knits. If you find that the fabric curls a little, you can use a tip from our fairy Bra Mother: use spray starch and press the fabric before sewing, to tame those curly edges. The spray starch will dissolve on its own during handling and will certainly come out in the first wash.

Fabric is 58-60″ (147-150 cm) wide made from 92% Polyester and 8% spandex blend with stretch in both directions. This fabric has a matte finish, but with a very slight and subtle sheen.

Colours and finishes Available:

The Polyester Micro Tricot is available in 6 great colours: White, Ivory, and Beige, which feature a very smooth finish.  Red, Chocolate, and Black feature a slight suede finish.

Uses:

This soft Microfibre Stretch Fabric is a great multipurpose fabric, to make any comfortable garment. Our customers use this fabric over foam cups for bras, bralettes, camisoles, tops, or lingerie. The fabric has a smooth surface and drapes beautifully. This fabric makes lovely women’s tops due to its drape-ability.
