Our Loop Turner is indispensable for turning small tubes for spaghetti straps, tube straps, or lace-up bras. The Turner uses a hook and latch to catch and pull the fabric through to the other end. While the Loop Turner appears to be “too simple” to work well, it employs a hook and latch to turn the smallest of tubes. Simply sew the tube with right sides together and insert the turner into one end. Make sure the seam allowances are smaller than the finished width of tube you are making.
With the latch in the down position, hook the sharp hook end into the fabric near the end of the tube. Push the latch to the up position so that the hooked fabric cannot creep off the end of the hook. Then, and this is critical, I use moistened fingers to start the hooked back back through the sewn tube. Once the fabric is started, it is relatively easy to guide the fabric end all the way through the tube.
