National Get to Know your Customers Day

The third Thursday of each quarter is National Get to Know Your Customers Day, which means July 21st is all about you!  With the advent of the Internet and big box stores, much of the personal attention has gone by the wayside. Sometimes they don’t even have real people answer the phones. You seem to wait forever to talk to anyone about your order or your concerns.

Aren’t you glad we have real women answering our phones? I think you would be on hold a looong time with this big boy on the order desk!

In the case of Bra-makers Supply, we still have small town values coupled with a global customer base. We think that’s a powerful combination. Even though our product base is extensive and diverse, we have never forgotten how it feels to be on the other side of the counter.

We take pride in our customer service and in the way our friendly and knowledgeable staff interacts with our customers. Real women who sew bras, answer the phones at our store. Best of all, even though we are an Internet-based company, it is surprising how many customers we know by name. Sometimes we even know what colours you prefer. Women who care about you and your sewing project pick, pack and ship your orders every day.

We’d like to get to know you better. We always like to hear from you, whether you are commenting on our social media, or responding to our newsletters. Some of you take the time to send us photos of your finished projects. We like that, so keep it up!

Remember, you are our most important customer, not just today on National Get to know your Customers Day, but every other day as well. We don’t need a National day to appreciate our customers, however I would like to publicly thank each and every one of you for choosing Bra-makers Supply. You are helping us in our mission to Uplift Women. Every Day.

Beverly, I want you to know that I spend at least an hour every morning reading articles here. I learn something every time, mostly stuff that reinforces what I already learned – or should have remembered that I learned! – over in the Craftsy classes! Today I realized that you already know me way too well because you’ve seen pictures of me in my bras! ROFLOL I think I’m on bra number 4 now, each one gets a little bit better fitting. Not an inexpensive undertaking but it will get more economical as I go. I now have THREE bras that are wearable and comfortable. I could probably make the first one wearable but I keep thinking “what if I end up in ER and they have to cut if off of me?” and I put it back in the drawer. I used to be an ER nurse so I personally have seen all kinds of undergarments on all kinds of people. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

Anyway, thanks for writing this blog, and if you made it this far in my ramblings, thanks for reading!

No wait, I’m on bra number FIVE! I forgot the partial band one that I made that is so pretty, used lace and it’s absolutely perfect, just way too uncomfortable to wear. Maybe I can figure out a way to tear it apart and convert it back to full but thin band. Ugh… way easier to make a whole new bra. Donate the pretty bra to the thrift store…
