Dear Beverly Johnson and fellow bra-makers, thank you so much for the joy you have given me and the hope you are offering now. Some years ago, I started making my own bras following your classic bra pattern, as there were never(!) any ready-made bras that fit me (small breasts, large band size). I never enjoyed shopping for underwear. It always made me feel like there was something wrong with me. I never liked the "one size fits all" nondescript stuff I always ended up buying, and it made me sad to watch a friend with a more "normal" figure happily choose from all sorts of beautiful bras. So you can easily imagine my joy when I first got to wear a perfectly fitting lovely lacy bra with matching panties! I was over 40 and beautiful underwear really helps boost self-esteem at that age.- Now I have had a mastectomy, and out come your patterns again. I don't have to be frustrated by there not being any ready-made prosthesis bras that fit me. I can just go and make my own :-)!! Thank you, thank you, thank you from Germany.
I'm a member of Costco and I would love to see bra making supplies available there.
